Inside India's Nutraceutical Industry

India is one of the world's fastest-growing nutraceutical markets, and its supplements are made inside the very same WHO-GMP pharma clusters that produce its medicines. So this is the real manufacturing map behind the sector. Explore it below.

Every figure here comes from the Government of India's Survey of Pharma Clusters (2023): a census of 118 clusters holding 7,673 manufacturing units across 19 states. Nutraceutical lines sit inside this same base, so the geography below is exactly where the industry is concentrated.

A Note on the Numbers

The unit counts, cluster names, size splits and export figures here are taken directly from the Government of India's 2023 Survey of Pharma Clusters. The only approximations are the marker positions on the enlarged state maps, which are indicative, the survey lists clusters by name, not coordinates. These are pharma clusters; nutraceutical production shares the same GMP facilities.
